There were many important events that happened in Asia. In 581 there was a new Chinese empire that was set up under a dynasty known as the Sui. Sui Yangdi was the second emporer of the dynasty. He was a very active emporer. He completed the Grand Canal. This linked the Huang He and the Chang Jiang Rivers. Even though he was active, he was one of the most feared rulers. The Grand Canal was a good idea that he came up with, but he forced people into making it for him. He forced hard labor in them to get it done. This really upsetted the people and caused a rebellion. Sui Yangdi was murdered. His dynasty was then ended.

Another very important thing that happened was the Mongol Dynasty. It was also known as the Yuan dynasty. It was controled by Kublai Khan. He continued to expand into Vietnam. But not for long. Their ways of fighting were notvery effective. They used calvary charges and si

They became seperate from the the chinese because of their culture. Over time though, the Chinese supported the Mongol Dynasty.

A lot happened in the early seventh century. A Yamato prince named Shotoku Taishi, tries to unify the parts of Japan. He wants to do this because he thinks that they would be more effective when they are invaided. He wanted a centralized government. He mainly wanted to become more powerful and lower the power of the aristocrats. They continued to to form based on the Chinese Model. Farm land no longer belonged to its owner. It belonged to the state. They would all pey their taxes to the centreal government directly and not through the local ariststocrats. After Shotoku Taishi died, the power was turned over to the Fujiwara clan.
